Since the early 1980s, starting with automobiles, Solartint founder Mark O’Brien has worked with and around window films.

In 2000, Mark founded Solartint and opened in Whitman, MA. It became very relevant to Mark that not only was there a need for window tinting on automobiles we determined buildings and residential consumers also had a great need for window tinting. Since then, Solartint has pursued more excellent knowledge by performing further research with Green Table groups and consultations with Glass companies, architects, designers, homeowners, and building contractors.

Solartint Inc. became a member of and is still strongly affiliated with the international window film association (IWFA) today. Solartint Inc. and its team eagerly participated in more training & seminars nationwide. Solartint Inc. believes in continually strengthening its knowledge in the window film industry. Today, Solartint and its team are active attendees in all of the above. These efforts enable us to provide our clients with the best technology and products available in the industry. From our 20+ years in the industry, Solartint is thankful and, more importantly, has earned the opportunity to become associated with many of the best window film, window tinters installers, and distributors nationwide. These practices continue to give Solartint state-of-the-art information about window film tint products, allowing us to provide our customers with the best technology and developments in the industry. Solartint Inc. provides blast-resistant, Safety film/Shatter resistant films. Solartint Inc. found UV ray protection films, HVAC heat control films, Architectural films, Designer films, decorative films, and much more. In 2005, Solartint Inc. expanded its operation and opened a second store in Weymouth on Route 53—Solartint Inc. serves over 300 automobile clients annually while steadily increasing the commercial-residential clientele base.

The year 2009, the customer demand for Solartint continually increased. To advance and solidify its presence in the film industry, properly serve its current client base, and keep up with the direction of new clients, Solartint Inc. has opened a third store yet! A larger store in a prominent location on Route 18 in Weymouth is conveniently between the other two stores. The move enabled Solartint to geographically maintain and increase customer satisfaction to its current customer database and properly build and serve its ever-growing new base. We found it necessary to drop our automotive services. To properly focus - 110% on commercial & residential film & window tint services.
